Your friend proposes that with the techniques of genetic engineering, biologists should be able to produce an organism with any combination of characteristics. For example, they could create an animal with the body of a frog and the wings of a bat.
Do you think this is a reasonable proposal? Explain your answer.
Please help me with this. Thanks.

My 5 starters are: Cliff Lee, Ubaldo Jimenez, Yovani Gallardo, Chris Carpenter, and Ryan Dempster. My RPs are Joakim Soria and Brian Fuentes. I have Ricky Romero and Stephen Strasburg on my bench. How is this pitching staff?

I'm 17 and this spring I want to walk onto my community college baseball team. I played little league and jr. league as a boy until age 14, but then left the sport for two years to pursue other sports. I'm 17 and I'm kicking myself in the butt because I love baseball and I really wish I could have played in high school.
I personally feel like I'm still a good fielder but I definitely need to refresh my batting technique. I looked into finding a personal baseball trainer in my area but the internet/yellow pages aren't helping. I would love to play college ball but I'm a little insecure at my batting/base running skills. Does anyone have any advice for what I can do to make this team?

Jacque Kallis was born in 1975 in Cape Town. He is an international cricketer who plays for South Africa. His role in the team is irreplaceable because of his natural all-round ability which has propelled him into the legends of world cricket. Batting is his main strength with many amazing contributions for South Africa but is also a devastating fast-medium bowler who bowls a good line and length, combining this with his amazing swing movement it makes a deadly combo. He is the greatest all-rounder of all time, by just taking a quick glance at his statistics this becomes evident. Along with his batting and bowling ability he is also a top class slip fielder. It is like he is a cricketing god sent from heaven above.
At a very young age, cricketing staff saw a massive amount of potential in Jacque Kallis. After many months, if not years of hard work he was picked for the South African squad. A dream come true for the young man. He struggled in his first few matches but in typical Kallis fashion, he rose to the challenge and scored a blistering century which silenced all his critics.
Jacque Kallis is a role model to me because he is always the ideal man in any situation. He always believes in winning no matter how much the odds are stacked against him. He has a good heart and regularly donates money to charity and into the development of the game. He is a hard worker and never takes any shortcuts, believing the only things worth earning in life are the ones that you pay for with blood, sweat and tears. He is not boastful and is always gracious in his achievements. Being polite on and off the field is what defines him as a true gentleman. His dedication to his team is something to be proud of as a cricketing fan. His pride, passion and spirit for the game leads him into a positive attitude while playing. The spirit of a lion roars within him because he always fights to end and never gives up and that he plays for the hunt and not the reward at the end of the road. “Seize the day” is a motto that applies to him because he always takes every opportunity he is given and is not wasteful. His mental strength is his primary weapon which is why he has the ability to spend many hours at the crease with immense concentration. I am sure many times in his career he has been tempted to simply quit and throw in the towel but he always remembers that pain only lasts a second while giving up lasts a life time. What impresses me about his batting technique is his smooth stroke play, elegant touches, how he combines offence with defense, his excellent shot selection, how he never gives his wicket away cheaply and most importantly his general attitude towards batting. He has a tremendous ability to form partnerships with others and bring out the best in other players and this is why his team mates speak of him so highly. Kallis is a man who is always willing to go out of his comfort zone to keep on achieving his goals. Evan when luck is not going his way he always tries to remain positive remembering every cloud has a silver lining.
When I am in a tough spot I look at Jacque Kallis for guidance. Thinking what would he do if he were in my shoes? I try imitate Kallis regularly not only when playing sport but in all aspects of my life. Always remaining calm and keeping a clear head, good manners, showing respect, good sportsmanship, lifting myself up when I am down, demonstrating confidence in myself, apologizing and admitting mistakes and good decision making are only a few teaching he has taught me. No matter what the challenges Kallis! rises to them all. I believe that Kallis is just an overall great person and this why he is MY ROLE MODEL.
