I am looking for ways to increase my bat speed for ASA slow pitch softball....
I am 6 ft tall and weigh approximately 230lbs, I am no body builder but not a wuss with the bat by any means, lately though it seems my bat speed is extremely slow...
I am looking for some simple exercises or techniques that will help increase my bat speed...I hold my arms and bat kind of high as I believe I have a lazy swing and that if I dont have a high stance that I tend to swing low and uppercut the ball somewhat which leads to a lot of lazy fly balls and pop ups...my stride is fairly short as I don't have the confidence to open it up yet because of my slow bat speed.....I have considered switching to a lighter bat, currently I use either a Synergy or a Juggernaut both which are 34 inch and 28oz.....neither of these are getting there full potential out because of my slow bat speed, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks ..........

What is meant by "break time" as far as baseball pitching is concerned? And what is considered a "good" break time for high school age pitchers?

Bring it on Harbhajan and Zaheer...you're both simply the best
Dada and Sachin...old is Gold...we know you can form the irreristible partnerships again..show Brett Lee, Tait. Johnson and co. what stuff you're really made off....you didn't make more than 10000 runs and so many centuries out of weak bowlers..push them so harder that they feel emasculated every time they come to bowl in Tests
Yuvi and Dhoni...bring it on boys..we know you both have lots of stamina and superb techniques...just teach them arrogant Aussie boys some humility with your batting....you're both the best
Rahul...you are the most dependable man we still have....don't worry about losing captaincy friend..it happens in life just be your best
Kumble...if you win toss elect to bowl this time and get them all out on first day..after that it will be fireworks
C'mon boys..you're all the best and the true No.1's only once you identify yourself ...look in the mirror
Tomorrow should be a CHARGED day
Of course it's a Happy New Year to everyone on here...both Indi and Aussie fans hope y'all have a superb 2008
