My friend tells me that it's very different and shouldn't go to a baseball batting cage. But, if there is no real pitcher and I still hit a baseball when the machine throws it, it would be easier to hit a softball. If I hit a baseball, hitting a softball would be like hitting a watermelon.

I have a small project, and I'm trying to hand quilt it. I've watched the videos on rocking the needle, but my stitches are so large and unattractive it almost makes it not worth the effort. Could it be that my warm and natural batting is too thick? Do I just have bad technique? For the life of me, I can't get more than a single stitch for each time I rock the needle. Any advice helps.

I am a high school junior really interested in playing baseball for my schools team this year. The only problem is, I've never played baseball before save one year in little leagues, therefore, I need good advice on how to make up for all those lost years. Nevertheless, I am determined to try my hardest to not only make the team, but to be a solid player also. However, I really need tips and pointers to guide me on my way. I have searched for days online and everything I come up with is real vague and not very helpful. Any tips for a workout program, beginner technique, good equiptment (glove, bat, etc.), or any links to good websites would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you so much!
