quickness when batting?

ok so i play major little league softball...and i need help. so yeah, i can hit the ball trust me. its just sometimes the ball ends up hitting the handle area and yeah...are there any techniques or exercises or something to help me swing the bat quicker? and yes, i do keep my eyes on the ball. and no, the bat isnt to heavy...i dont think.

If the ball is hitting the handle, the problem is most likely your timing, or your plate coverage. I don't see how bat speed would cause you to get jammed. Experiment with your foot positioning.. try moving slightly farther from the plate. You could also try opening up your stance a bit (put your front foot farther from the plate than your back foot). You could also experiment with the timing of your load (put your weight on your back feet earlier). Make sure you are snapping your wrists over to get the bat out in front of the plate when you make contact.
Instead of focusing on swinging faster try pulling your hands in for a shorter more compact swing so the ball wont end up on the handle of your bat.
